with Sir Paul Chater has just reported to this Government that in his opinion the iron deposits are of considerable value. Only one of these has been surveyed for quantity and is estimated to contain about five million tons of high grade magnetite, for the smelting of which in Hongkong a supply of cheap coke is easəntial. This could only be obtained if m abundant supply of cheap coal were available from the Kwangtung Province.
